    Mr. Brubaker, 91, of South Point owner and operator of a fruit farm there, died Friday at 3:25 p.m. at his home. He had been in ill health for the past 15 years.
    He was born at South Point on March 17, 1870, son of the late Hamilton and Termperance Edwards Brubaker. He spent his entire life in South Point and served as deacon of the South Point Baptist Church for many years.
    He was united in marriage in 1893 to Ella Riel, who preced him in death November 26, 1958.
    He was also preced in death aby two brothers and five sisters.
    Surviving are two sons, Arnold and Fenton L. Brubaker of South Point: five daughters, Mrs. Howard (Gertrude) Ferguson, Mrs. Kirker (Marjorie) Adams, Mrs. Marshall (Catherine) Ankriem, and Mrs. Max (Helen) Davidson all of South Point and Mrs. Henrietta Jenkins of Huntington.

    He was a devoted and stalwart Christian living as the Bible taught. After a hard days work his relaxation was to study Gods word.     Mrs. Ella Riel Brubaker, 88, of South Point, died at her home at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. She had been ill 10 years.
    Mrs. Brubaker was born in Portsmouth on September 10, 1870, daughter of the late Jonathan and Kathryn Leichner Riel. She was a lifelong member of South Point Baptist Church.
    Surviving her are her husban Charles H. Brubaker, Five daughters. and two sons. One sister also survives her Mrs. Alton Lyund of Pataskala, O.: two half brothrs. Halsey Riel of Russell, and Berkley Riel of Portsmouth: the step mother, Mrs. Alice Riel, of Russell; and 16 granchildren and 26 great grand children.

    Ella was always the loving companion, wife, mother, and grandmother. The home was always open to family and visitors whether for a meal or long visit. It was seldom one left empty handed.

    David married his cousin, Leah Lionberger, because of family objections they went to Hagerstown, Md to be married, and then came to Fayette Township, Lawrence Co., Ohio where their children were born. David served in the war of 1812 under Col Shepard. Enlisted Sep 9, 1812 and discharged February 28, 1813. Because of serving at least 60 days Leah was entitled to widows pension at the time of his death. Which she filed in 1861.
