I was surfing last night and ran across this site. It is great since I am related. Addison Koons was my 4th great=grandfather. Since the history seems to stop shortly there after for our branch of the family. I would be willing to work with you all to fill in the gaps. You have done a lot of work and it is great.

Hi. I'm a descendant of Joel Sturgis Cox and Naomi Reasor Hobbs Cox. I have a copy (or original?) of your picture 134. My picture says it is Sampson David Cox, picture taken 1929, not Joel Sturgis Cox. The other pics I have of Joel (1835-1918) show him as bearded and balding.

Great information! Finally got past a deadend for my ggg-grandmother, Nancy Campbell. She is brother to Hiram Campbell and 1st cousin to John Campbell, founder of Ironton. I orinally found it on Rootsweb, so thanks for posting there also.
