Mrs. Emma Todd, former Countian Dies in Denver
Mrs. Emma Brubaker Todd, a native of Sheridan, Ohio and a former county school teacher, died at her home. 4517 west 29th street in Denver, Colo. on Tuesday May 23. Her funeral was conducted in Denver on May 25, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Todd will be remembered by many friends. She was born in Sheridan, daughter of Abraham and Malinda Winters Brubaker and spent her early life in this county. She taught for several years in schools here but in 1891 moved to Denver. She taught there until her marriage to B. J. Todd.
Her daughter died thirty years ago but Mrs. Todd continued her residence in Denver. Death came to her after an illness of two years duration. Her sister Nellie Brubaker of South Point had been in Denver during the last year caring for Mrs. Todd., She attended last services and has not yet returned to her home here.
Surviving are one brother, Frank Brubaker, and two sisters, Nellie and Alma Brubaker all of South Point, one brother, Chareles and on sister preceded her in death. She was a cousin of Mrs. H. M. Edwards of south Sixth Street.
