Lawrence Co. was created Dec. 20, 1816 from Gallia and a small part of Scioto Co. Organized March 24, 1817.

11 Kouns, Andrew P.  Greenbriar Co., VA   1804  Burlington area   Lawrence county wasn't formed until 1817. It was a part of Gallia and Scioto counties. Andrew P. Kouns came here in 1804.
